DALLAS, April 2, 2025 (FINANCE INTERVIEWS) — Financial services organization the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) has announced that Hope Credit Union and Hope Enterprise Corporation (HOPE) have been named recipients of the 2025 Community Area Revitalization Efforts (CARE) Award.

The CARE Award recognizes FHLB Dallas member institutions for their use of community investment products to support affordable housing and economic development. The award includes a $15,000 donation from FHLB Dallas to a nonprofit of the recipient’s choosing.

HOPE was selected for its consistent use of several FHLB Dallas programs. These include the Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP), which provides funds for essential home repairs for elderly or disabled low-income homeowners, the Homebuyer Equity Leverage Partnership (HELP), which assists with down payments and closing costs for first-time homebuyers, and the Affordable Housing Program, which supports construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing.

“Being honored by FHLB Dallas and recognized as the 2025 CARE Award recipient is a testament to the resilience of our members and the under-resourced Deep South communities we serve,” said Bill Bynum, CEO of HOPE.

"HOPE’s impact on affordable housing and community investment in some of this nation’s poorest towns and cities is remarkable. We congratulate HOPE and look forward to more great things from them," said Bruce Hatton, Community Marketing and Outreach Manager, Community Investment, FHLB Dallas.
